Meet The Director
Alex Symonds
Before founding AS Electrical Services, Alex gained extensive experience across a variety of
electrical projects. His work includes installing the external lighting at Bunnings Newstead
ahead of its grand opening, completing air conditioning installations for the Cool Schools
Program, and outfitting new aged care facilities on Brisbane’s northside. Alex has also
worked on numerous residential projects, from full house renovations to specific upgrades
like bathroom remodels and new townhouses. In the industrial sector, he contributed to a
large-scale extension of a recycling plant measuring over 50 by 150 meters, and completed
a new facility designed to protect agricultural crops. Additionally, Alex has extensive
experience with both overhead and underground power installations, ranging from small-
scale projects of 5 meters to large-scale installations exceeding 500 meters. Known for his
dedication and expertise, Alex approaches every project with a commitment to quality, safety
and lasting results.
When he’s not busy at work, you’ll often find Alex giving back to his community as a
manager for the local football (soccer) club. Beyond the pitch, he loves outdoor adventures
like camping and four-wheel-drive events, and he values quality time with family. His passion
for community involvement and the great outdoors shines through in everything he does,
reflecting the same commitment and energy he brings to AS Electrical Services.

Hayden
Meet Hayden, our highly dedicated and skilled Project Manager. An experienced Electrician
and Air Conditioning Technician, Hayden’s passion for his trade drives him to power homes
and businesses with unmatched safety and efficiency. With ten years of hands-on
experience across the electrical and refrigeration industries, he has earned a strong
reputation for delivering exceptional service and innovative solutions tailored to each client’s
unique needs. Hayden is deeply committed to quality and safety in every project,
continuously updating his knowledge of industry regulations and emerging technologies.
Whether expertly wiring a new build, diagnosing complex electrical issues, or providing
insightful advice, Hayden brings professionalism, dedication, and warmth to every challenge.
Meet Our Tradesman
Todd
Allow us to introduce Todd, a highly dedicated and skilled Tradesman who has worked
alongside Alex for many years. Todd began his apprenticeship under Alex’s mentorship and
completed it by his side, gaining invaluable experience and expertise along the way. He has
contributed to multiple projects across Southeast Queensland, including Queensland’s first
Hydrogen Battery installation for a commercial solar system, as well as numerous residential
and commercial renovations. Now, Todd is further advancing his skills by studying for his
Certificate III in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration, reinforcing his commitment to delivering
top-quality, comprehensive service. Known for his dedication to craftsmanship and precision,
Todd’s meticulous attention to detail makes him a trusted member of our team, bringing
dependable expertise to every project.
